Some learners may prefer to learn with a 2 hour lesson each week. Others may prefer and find that they learn better with an intensive driving course where the lessons are condensed over a very short period of time.
A driving lessons for a beginner will start with the basics—such as moving off and stopping—before moving onto the more complex manoeuvres.
At the beginning of your initial driving lesson, the instructor will ask about and assess your existing knowledge. Subsequently, they will instruct you on the cockpit drill, which involves familiarising yourself with the various controls and instruments within the vehicle’s interior. After this they will proceed to teach you how to operate the car’s controls such as the steering wheel, pedals, & gear shift.
And don’t forget to bring your UK Provisional Drivers License with you
Its easier for the student to book their test as they have all the details they need to enter into the DVSA website and a date that suits their schedule.
There is no guarantee that you will pass your driving test. The outcome depends on your ability to demonstrate the required skills and knowledge during the practical and theory assessments. The DVSA examiner will evaluate your performance objectively based on the established criteria. Factors such as your level of preparation, driving experience, & adherence to traffic rules and regulations will influence the result. While some individuals may pass on their first attempt others may require additional practice & retakes.
The key is to approach the test with a positive mindset, diligent preparation, and a commitment to safe driving practices.
No, we do not offer this – our aim is to make you a more confident driver and as close to ready for your test as we can in the hours you have booked. Everyone learns at a different pace, you may find that you need further driver training to be test ready. YOU must be signed off as test ready by the DVSA Approved Instructor to use their car. This does not prevent you from asking for a test in your own car if you feel you are ready.
